Featured Friday: Just Water

Hello, Hello, Hello everyone, Happy Friday! How was our week and what are we getting into this weekend? We hope you got a chance to check out our last two weeks of Featured Fridays where we talked about a great anti-odorant company called Nuud and we took you with us on a tour through Paso Robles. We’re so excited to Feature this weeks product and company on our blog because we have been following their story for a very long time and we absolutely love what Jaden Smith is doing regarding the water industry. So without further ado, lets jump into this weeks blog.
Just Water is an exciting and innovating water company that was started and co-founded by Jaden Smith, which is where we originally discovered the brand. Birdi, being a large fan of Jaden Smith, became very passionate about this company when he saw Jaden’s mission in wanting to make ecological change regarding people’s water usage and Earth. Jaden launched the idea for this company when he was 10 years old and he saw large amounts of plastic floating around the ocean when he was surfing, he knew he wanted to do something to help save our planet. Birdi continued to follow this company throughout the past five years continuously buying their products, and decided to write to the company to see if they would be willing to send us some of their product for our blog. Let me tell you, Birdi nearly jumped out of the car when he received the email that we were going to have the opportunity to work and photograph Just Water and it has been such a fun and rewarding journey!
Back to a little bit about this company and the amazing things that they stand behind, which is to be sustainably sourced from the very first drop. Instead of being a purified tap water which is inefficient in both waste water and energy, they are actually a flavorful spring water that is reliably pumped from a plentiful source in the United States. Since the water is spring water it actually has natural occurring mineral and PH content making it better than most of the other water companies on consumer shelves. Their business model puts a heavy emphasis on creating a water company with maximum impact, and focuses on water, forestry, recycling, emissions, plant-based plastic, and outsourcing to its community. Just Water has such a unique business model in the fact that they put heavy research and money into actually building up the community that they source their water from, Glens Falls, NY, and in return has seen such a huge improvement in the city itself. The packaging itself is also pretty revolutionary making its one of the only 100% reusable and recyclable water bottle that is made out of paper and sugarcane. They also meet a ton of other standard industry levels which include being a certified B Corporation, USDA organic, FSC certified, and are a rainforest alliance. It is no wonder why this company is so legendary already, they are literally changing the water business and the world as a whole!
Birdi and I, have been consistent Just Water users for years but after extensive research into this company we have a renowned appreciate for this companies ethics. It has been such a pleasure to be able to feature ethically innovative and passionate companies that are creating so much goodness all over the world, all the while Jaden Smith is also a Twenty-something which has also really inspired us. We write about being a twenty-something and all of the different paths we are choosing to embark on throughout this journey, and even if that’s changing the world for the better and focusing on ecological change I hope you see Jaden’s efforts as a testament of what we all could be doing.
The company sent us a product box with their new line of flavored waters and we have been testing and tasting the waters for the past week. The mint flavored water has such a yummy and refreshing hint of mint which makes it my favorite, whereas Birdi really loved the sweetness of the berry flavoring. Like I stated previously we have been drinking their regular water for a very long time now and when I go to buy water Just Water is always my first choice. The regular water comes in a blue bottle but the flavored waters all come in a coordinating color choice to its flavoring, making the entire line very aesthetic and pleasing to look at and carry around. We had such a fun time taking Just Water along with us when we had our Earth Day shoot yesterday and it made the perfect prop in all of our photos. All in all we have had a stellar experience from the first time we discovered the company, to their customer support outreach, to even connecting with their social media teams. Water is literally one of the biggest parts of our lives so I hope this inspires you all to take a look at the companies that you support and consume from and the business ethics behind these companies. Just Water will always be our first choice and if you haven’t tried their companies products yet we highly suggest you give them a try, snap a photo while you do it and tag their awesome accounts as well!
